Re: What does it mean?

^ lolz...u mean I'm the "allegedly-real" guy ?

Personally, I would never ask my parents to get pictures of some girl (exceptional circumstances apart like e.g. if her parents are not allowing use to meet). I'd prefer meeting her.

Arragned marriages can fall apart jus like non arranged marriages. also, specifically speaking about muslim pakistanis, i think wat u've said above about independence and related to sexual liberty is not all true about all of them.

but yeah educate ur daughters n if some1 approaches them, they should go through the proper channel whichis getting parents involved ASAP.

Totally agreed!

For your first point, yes, I did not specifically mean muslim families, but unfortunately that is becoming a norm in muslim families as well, be it in the west or back home.

For a girl, the parents shoud ensure:

Education=yes
Independance to make deicisions = yes
Meeting potential candidates in a controlled environment= yes
Dating and going out with BF/Boss = NO

Tauba tauba..you are saying YES to dance?

This doesn't seem normal to me.
First, why would they ask for a girl's pic first rather than showing guy's pic first, like it is always done. I don't think its right to show a girl's pic's to a guy's family and not showing their own son's pic.
This lady whoever she is, why is she sooooo much interested in getting the girl's sis married. Shouldn't her priority be her son right now. I think its okay to find the younger daughter some good match only after the older one is married by this lady. Doesn't make sense at all.

Re: What does it mean?

well the fact tat she's asking for the sis pix too is so she can bring his family over too when she comes to see my friend.
