“You cannot like an adult”, I often find people using this phrase during their arguments. What does it really mean and does it hold any weight?
Your thoughts please?

Re: What does it mean?
Do you mean "you cannot act like an adult"?
When someone uses this phrase, it usually means the opponent is being immature, childish, juvenile, etc.
Yes, if Goggle does not talk about it, it does not exist .. that is how we guys think of life ..![]()

Re: What does it mean?
okay here's the whole story....
someone sent me a message saying "you can not like an adult" and for the past three days i was trying to work out what does it mean.....but i think "act" was missing from it, i couldn't think of a reply but then i said if adults are supposed to be like you then i cannot like them.
silly me. lol
Re: What does it mean?
but you said you often find people using that phrase. no?
Re: What does it mean?
I think the first phrase makes much sense. I knew I was right all along. The reason I do not like adults is because I can't...not my fault!
but you said you often find people using that phrase. no?
well yeah .....i actually do hear them saying when someone is being bossy.
