Ok so, I was introduced to a guy through a common friend, and he was looking for someone to get married to. We tried to get to know each other before making our families involved. He was all okay proceeding with involving his parents but i felt as if he was not a good catch as i could feel many red flags,and after thinking hard and evaluating things, i realized that i definitely don’t want to get married to him, and moreover, for the last one week, things weren’t just so good between us and i just thought that it would be better to call it off. So, today i tried calling him thrice on his mobile but there was no answer. So, i just sent him a long text, explaining things and telling him to move on, as things are just over between us. I am sure he has read it, but there’s just no response to it. Now, what does that mean? 
Does that mean he is all okay with it and accept it? Because, whether he accepts or not, i would want him to respond now, instead of responding after days when i would have perhaps moved on

Lets put a twist to it and we should all think for a second that , you never had enough courage to talk to your parents , thats why you dumped him . And now feeling all ashamed and guilty you are doing him a ‘‘favor’’ by sending him a text and making sure he reads it .

No matter how nicely a person does it, rejection is not an easy thing to deal with. What do you want him to do? You want him to call you back and say...
"Ok Pinky. I get that you don't find me compatible. I hope things work out for you. Good luck. XOXO" Is a courtesy call for a rejection necessary? Who does that? Nobody.
Or do you want him to call you back so he can disucss in detail WHY you don't think he's "a catch." That would be embarrassing/hurt his ego.
Or do you want him to call you back so he can be angry at you? That would make you feel uncomfortable.
Or do you want him to call you back so he can try to talk you out of the rejection? Cuz if you firmly believe he isn't the one for you, then that doesn't make sense.
How about you just let him process the rejection and deal with it in his own way......leave him alone.......don't call him back......and MOVE ON with your life because you believe he isn't the one for you. Try to put yourself in his shoes.....he may have felt embarrassed by it...and doesn't want to deal with any further awkwardness by calling you back and disucssing the rejection. Is that so hard to understand? Do you think that all the rishtas that you reject are going to call you up and discuss it? When a rishta rejects you...do you do a courtesy rejection call or discuss it?
By worrying about why he hasn't called you back after you sent him a LONG rejection text.......you're almost giving the impression that you still care about him.
And who knows? He might even be playing some game where he decides not to respond.....in the hopes that you'll become curious/crazy enough to call him back and thus validate his ego. If that's the case, maybe it's working. OR MAYBE...it's YOUR EGO that's hurt because you might perceive his absence of a response to mean that he wasn't that bothered by your rejection and therefore that he didn't have as much of an interest in you as you would have liked to believe.
IF he WANTS (yes, wants) to get in touch with you.....he knows how to reach you. If he isn't responding and a good amount of time has gone by where you haven't heard from him....especially after rejecting....i'd say he's letting you know that he's moved on and so should you.

You want him to call now because if he calls later…you MIGHT have moved on? That just sounds weird. You have either moved from this guy or you haven’t. If you weren’t 100% sure that you were over him…then why send him a long message telling him that it ain’t gonna work out? So, basically…you send him a long rejection…and you’re not sure if you’ve moved on from him…and now you want him to call you back on your terms/conditions? It seems a bit self-centered. He may have had many red-flags, but he’s still got his self-respect. Move on and leave him be.

well i can sorta understand you cuz indifference gets to me badly too, however in yr case u have to understand it cud be out of anger or embarassement that he didnt reply. give him the benefit of doubt and move on as he should have.

lol. why are you even waiting for his response when you sent a break up or should we say its over message already. You wont be able to move on in life if your decisions are confused. All the best though.

Or maybe he's trying to play smart with you? If you really have discarded him of your life, then don't look back, or is it that he's still in you heart? You have better things to focus on in your life right now. I personally, would never wait for a guy's response, once I have truly dumped him out. At least you were frank with him, on your part. So why worry?
