i think so…being blunt is like being ‘inconsiderate’ in pointing out someone’s shortcoming/mistake.
btw, calling someone ‘BLUNT’ is also inconsiderate/rude/impolite!

Blunt is someone who is straight to the point. And sometimes doesn’t take into account sensibilities of a situation.
It can be a good thing to a certain degree however sometimes its important to be diplomatic.

In an ideal world, we would treat others as we would like to be treated. Do unto others…
But we are human. And we slip. So at times we are blunt and hurt others. There is a difference between speaking the truth and being unnecessarily hurtful.
“You look terribly overweight. Have you been stuffing yourself?” Is an example of bluntness, even if accurate.
“How about we skip the piazza dinner eat salad tonight? And let us go walking. Its so pleasant outside” is a constructive way to get the other person on. A healthy track.

what if you share your feelings n tell other person to do so too n that person calls you blunt.. what this means then as everyone is having different opinion of being blunt

it means you are rude… and call it out when someone is BS’ing.

I wouldn’t say being blunt is always synonymous with being rude. It just means you tell things like they are, without beating around the bush.
