What does islam say about extra-terrestrial life?

What does islam say about extra-terrestrial life?

Islam does not reject the idea that there may be other life or extra terrestrial life out yonder.

The term 'Lord of the Worlds' in the beginning of the first chapters suggests extra-terrestrial life.

.....So they turned away from him and said, '' A man tutored, possessed! ''

Yes Ranjeet, I don’t know about other Muslim’s beliefs on this issue, but I as an Ahmadi-Muslim, do believe in existence of extra-terrestrial life (not the one like shown on x-files). Definitely there must be some other species on other planets. When they will meet us or communicate with us, we don’t know. Don’t be scared, Human specie is the most supreme form of all the creatures, that’s why it is termed as “Äshraful Makhlooqaat” (the finest form of all the mortals)

I only remember couple of references off hand regarding this matter.

1) Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (pbuh) was also addressed by Allah as “Rahmatul Aalameen”, meaning “a blessing for the worlds” (‘aalameen’ is the pleural of ‘aalam’ meaning world).

2) In Chapter ash-Shura 42:30, Allah says “And among HIS signs is the creation of the Heavens and the earth, and of whatever living creatures HE has spread forth in both. And HE has the power to gather them together whenever HE pleases”.

The above verse exemplifies a unique testimony to the divine origin of the Quran. It is not possible for any human being, much less for an unlettered son of the desert, to say, as far back as 1400 years, when the science of astronomy was yet in its infancy, that part from our planet, life in some other form or other existed in heavenly bodies. It was reserved for the Quran to disclose this great and marvelous scientific truth as the words of this verse, of whatever living creatures He has spread forth in both, show. The reference in the words, He has the power to gather them together may be to the possibility of the creatures living on earth and in the heavenly bodies becoming united in some future time.

I think this answers your question.

Take care now

I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the accursed Satan and that of our own souls.

The truth of the matter is, we don't know if there is such life or not.

Allah(swt) being the 'Lord of the Worlds' and the 'creatures in the Heavens and the Earth' is a reference, as we all know, to the Worlds Seen and Unseen, that of humans and that of the Angels, Jinns, and Devils.

We, and the other creations of Allah(swt), can inhabit whatever portion of heavens and earth He pleases, but He is our Lord just the same.

If we do discover extra-terrestrial life in the future, rest assured it will not be more than plant or animal-like in nature, if such life exists at all, since Qur'an in the message to the WORLDS till the end of time, and it only makes reference to TWO intelligent beings, MAN and JINN(who we can never hope to 'discover').

But surely, Allah(swt) knows best.
End of story.

Ranjeet, Adam and Eve in fact were created by people from an other planet called "Nibiru" and the one who created them is called "Enki". In Sumerian writings, Enki is believed to be the God of universe.
