Simple. even if they say and act weirdly, my mom and sister are seedhi kyun ke woh dil kee maasoom hain - but even if they talk nicely, my Mil and saali are chalaak kyun ke woh ooper se meethi meethi hain par andar se bohut hoshyaar hain

Most people confuse dumb for seedhi saadhi. Strong, intelligent and independent is Chalak. The assumption is that seedhi saadhi are easier to exploit and will gladly accept a life of oppression and exploitation.

Has to do with body language
The way you walk, talk, sit and carry yourself
If people are judging based on just the face then it could be things like the expression on your face when something particular is said, confidence in your eyes, how you laugh, who you observe and when in a conversation, do you scan the room or the people therein etc.

A few months into our shaadi, my white friends coaxed me to go drinking with them, I drank a bit too much and when I got home I got sick and threw up several times, my seedhi saadhi wife was so concerned about me, she thought I ate sth bad. If it was my chaalak x French lady, she would have skinned me alive. A seedhi saadhi will let you get away with stuff, a chalak would put your stuff in a vice.
