Was discussing this with a friend of mine and thought I’d ask here. As much as we dont like to make assumptions about people, we often do it regardless. What I wanted to know is, what does a persons weight say to you when you are “assessing or looking at” them? If they are overweight in your eyes does it say to you that they are lazy and probably have no sense of control or balance in their life? If they are skinny in your eyes, does it say they dont care much about their health/looks? How do you interpret their physical apperance/fitness? Just wondering. Thanks.
For my over-weight friends I just make sure I have extra food whenever I invite them to my home. Is this bad?
A person's weight doesnt say much to me ... a fat or skinny person can make him/herself look decently dressed so that its not abvious .. its depends how you pack yourself .. A fat aunty will not look skinner wearing fitting cloths ..so its the way you dress and not your weight that matters.
its mostly how they behave or represent themselves matters to me :)
Very interesting question Munni :)
Now that i thought about it for a while..i think..that a person's weight to me doesn't matter actually..coz every individual is unique..
Weight DOES matter, I admit. I'd much sooner look at a more "fit" person than an "out of shape" one; however, like Saaida mentioned. it is also important to present oneself well, as in by being confident and wearing flattering clothes that suit the body well.
:)
I agree with Moona, people do judge others by apperances and weight is part of this.
Speaking from personal experience, I used to weigh nearly 18 stone during my teen years and now weigh almost half that I have experienced first hand the predujices that both overweight and thinner people face.
When I see an overweight person eating massive amounts of food, not excercising, and then complaining that they are overweight, I lose a lot of respect for them, because that person is clearly not taking care of their body. However, when I see an "Obese" person, I tend to feel bad for them because some people are born obese. Obesity is a disease which can't be helped in many cases, but an effort is still required and some people can actually come out of it.
Regarding confidence, I think confidence lies more in personality. An overweight person can be much more confident than a person who's in great physical shape. It all depends on how a person feels about themselves. Excercising is an excellent way to help build confidence in yourself though. :)
Is it true that fat ppl have food stuck in there heads?

Interesting way to look at it. Though I must say, that this only goes so far. After a while, there comes a time, when packaging alone can not disguise the problem. It just becomes too obvious. :)
Other than that... Fret said some wise things.
A person's weight usually tells me how fat they are.
I've noticed recently that I look upon it as one not caring enough about one's self to live and eat well. Somewhere along the same lines that I regard alcohol and drug use.
On an off note, my body complains the times I've let myself go (in terms of eating healthy). I feel lethargic, unmotivated and just downright blah. So, it's usually easy to switch back to running, veggies, seafood and what not to get me back in a better state of mind.
Well, this is a good question. Being fat is not a good condition and a person should always try and make the best of themselves IMO. If you like good food then be prepared to exercise hard is my opinion.
Even so, a fat person with a good opinion is worth 10x a skinny person with a worthless one.
What does a persons weight say to you?
wow! lookie my future stands there
Persons weight, if over weight- shows theyre slack.
If thin and not fit shows theyre slack as well.
But you can be fat and fit at da same time.
So depends on ur fitness.
-got dis line from SouthPark "Im not fat, im just Bigboned."

The Game Responds:
*Do big bones even exist for God's sake? I have seen so many fat people get away with that pathetic little term. Hell, even I was told that I had big bones, which obviously was all a bunch of cr*p, since my big bones oh so magically disappeared once I lost the excess weight. People, That Is All.*
