Depends. In school people assumed I was smart. One example being, this guy I barely knew once saw me in a lab while he was passing by, he says hi to me and asks the kid closest to the door, “Is this physics ___?”, the most advanced physics offered at the school. I was a sophmore, the fudge? It was basic physics class. 
Several have assumed I come from a rich family, others perceive me as arrogant. In reality, I am not really any of these things.
