Growing up in the middle east I have heard this term for mother from locals; I am pretty sure it’s arabic

actually, the word is Ummii [alif meem pesh, meem, ye] which means 'MY mom" [umm=mother; ye denotes mine/my]

**Ammii is the Urdunized version of Ummii

**btw, 'Amwii [ai’n, meem, vaao, chhoTii he] = uncle
**ummii **[alif, meem (tashdeed), ye] = jaahil, naa_Khowaandah
