What do you wear at home

Re: What do you wear at home

I always wear PJ's or occasionly shalwar kameez. More often than not, if the door bell rings I run and change just because mama always says achi kaprey pehna karo, and I can only justify my PJ's if I make sure I am appropriately dressed if we have guests :-p

I tend to change out of western wear as soon as I get home because I just don't feel comfy in them at home.

Re: What do you wear at home

Hmm, so for those of you who wear PJ’s or bathrobes etc but “change” when some unexpected guest arrives, do you answer the door like that then go and change or quickly change first? :hmmm: (If you’re home alone, that is). On my days off, I’m usually just in some random dress and jeans/ leggings or, very rarely, a shalwar kameez. Comfort comes first for me.

Re: What do you wear at home

pjs or sweats. sometimes long sleeved tshirt and a maxi skirt

if we have guests over from my side, then shalwar kameez.

if from hubby's side, either western wear or shalwar kameez.

Re: What do you wear at home

well im in the bsmt, so usually unexpected guests come from the front door. so i would know by hearing that someone has some so i quickly change and cover up.

Re: What do you wear at home

I put on my PJ's the second I come home from work and if I'm not going out on the weekend then I wear them from the time I wake up to when I go to sleep. We don't typically get unexpected visitors but if I see we do I run upstairs and tell my brother to answer the door while I change.

Re: What do you wear at home

im in plain shalwar kameez , wheneveri hear guests are coming i change into a more suitable shalwar kameez.

Re: What do you wear at home

kameez with sweatpants or shalwar kameez or pyjamas. it varies

Either of the following:

shalwaar kameez
t-shirt with shalwaar
t-shirt with pajamas/sweatpants
sometimes kameez and sweatpants

Re: What do you wear at home

exactly the same as RV!

Re: What do you wear at home

t-shirt with jeans or PJs
long skirt
sometimes shalwar kameez

Re: What do you wear at home

T-shirt and pjs all the time. If a guest comes over, shalwar kameez.

Re: What do you wear at home

shalwar kameez all the time.. when guests come over i wear one my nice shalwar kameez but not any of my heavy or more expensive suits since i have to cook and clean and serve the guests do not want to ruin my clothes doing all that unless the guests will be doing all the work them selves :chai:

Re: What do you wear at home

usually whatever wore to school ( jeans, hoodiezz)
but if im only stay home then w/e i wore to bed ( Xtra Xtra Xtra large pj.... and Xtra Xtra Xtra Large tee) and never somethin thats warm.... alwayz half sleevez. my oversized tee comes all the to my kneez LOl.

And if im going somewhere or somones comin I ALWAYZZZZ dress up snd also MAKEUP, i have never ever in my life been not dressed when going over or even when somones comin..... i agree with TLK that it showz respect when your dressed up.

Re: What do you wear at home

If we're expecting guests..its shalwar kameez..if no one's coming around i'll stay in my pjs :) or put on shalwar kameez like a good pakistani bachi :P hahaha mum prefers me wearing shalwar kameez at home..but sometimes I'm not in the mood and will stay in pj's!

Re: What do you wear at home

old shalwar kameez, sweats and a kameez

Re: What do you wear at home

I'm usually dressed in jeans and a nice top on the regular .... a habit i picked up since I was young because it bothered my mom that we stayed in our pajamas during the day. So that stopped. My dad does not like shalwaar kameez (only dad in the entire world i think) so he preferred my sister and I to be in jeans and a nice top. So yea... old habits have stuck around. I dont change my clothes usually when guest come.... I just throw on some lipstick and eyeliner. :) I do not think I have ever been home alone when a guest has come over.... whether it was before when i lived with my parents or now when I am living with hubby. So someone else answers the door while I dash to throw on some quick makeup.

Pakistani clothing for me is only for dawaats, eid, and shaadi related events. So I only own semi-formal and formal wear...

Re: What do you wear at home

Pj's and Tees. and a decent kameez is always ready in the wash room.It takes seconds to change
