What do you think?

Hey Guppies,

I needed some advice on this wedding outfit…what do you guys think?

The outfit was made for someone’s valima in black believe it or not…apparently black is the new black for valima outfits. I definitely hate the colour, but the guy recommended a one colour outfit in either rust or moss green…

Re: What do you think?

wow that is beautiful (i want 2 get married again! 2 the same guy of course)

Re: What do you think?

Wow, I actually really like that. The kaam and the fabric look really exquisite. Although, it's black, the kaam gives it a glittery bridal look. I might change the dupatta though. I don't like net dupattas for weddings. I love them for mehndis though..that sheer ghungat is so cute. Anyways, the lehnga is nice! Looks quite pricey too.

Re: What do you think?

i like it

Re: What do you think?

gorgeous! i love it in black, and i think any one color would work amazingly well... whether its high or low intensity... like, a pale pink would work as well as a raspberry or a plum.

who's the designer? how much would something like this cost?

Re: What do you think?

um…
if the kameez was less heavy. like instead of kaam all over have it on the sleeves, daman and piping on the gala… But otherwise its pretty cool :k:

Re: What do you think?

i quite like the design, even with the shirt heavy it balances out. is this from a designer? where can you buy it?

Re: What do you think?

it says 'nomi10' when you click on the picture...so i am guessing its nomi ansari's
hmmm......the shirt is good....the bottom of the lehnga is too heavy...and the dupatta needs to be of a different material.....looks like its made of not so flattering material..

Re: What do you think?

i think the dupatta is net cos you can see the "models" bald head through it at the top haha

Re: What do you think?

i can also see this modified as a beautiful gharara but with a longer shirt and definitely less kaam in that case... possibly even plain but with a heavy neckline and something on the sleeves and daaman, all edged with piping, like at the bottom.

Re: What do you think?

yeah....no net....:)
looks bad..... haha..

Re: What do you think?

haha :p

what would you suggest as an alternative? i think chiffon, etc. are too slippy, no?

Re: What do you think?

hmmm...silk..georgette..chiffon...yeah..they look nice..but i agree..it is a pain to control them...id rather go with them than net....net just robs the dress of its glory...

Re: What do you think?

I would make the shirt plainer. Overall -- very pretty.

Re: What do you think?

He suggested a net or chiffon duppata, indian raw silk for the blouse and Jamavar for the skirt. He said the raw silk would give a better fitting to the blouse. I'm not entirely fond of the pattern of the Jamavar skirt - it would definitely need to change, but I really love the outfit.

Green is a pretty traditional colour for Pathaans, so what would you guys think of the moss green colour he suggested?

Re: What do you think?

that is unbelievably gorgeous! I WANT I WANT I WANT!!!!!!!!!111 now i wish i made a black one for my valima i think is AWESOME

Re: What do you think?

beautiful! gonna get something done in black for my devar's wedding hopefully, obviously not as heavy work like that but a more elegant design/cut...

Re: What do you think?

I Love it, but I wouldnt want tht much kaam on the shirt, how much would it cost btw? I would definately go for somethng like this if the price range is not above 1000 pounds !

Re: What do you think?

The colour is awful. Top is a bit too heavy though the skirt is ok. Wouldn't the rust make it look like a granny lengha though? The whole lengha in rust, i personally think would make it look cheesy. Maybe a light colour or two tone.. And maybe less dots on the dupatta

Re: What do you think?

I absolutely LOVE it. Even though the shirt has kaam on it, it still complements the skirt part very well. Absolutely GORGEOUS.
