Normally i’ve gotten money from parents…i dont mind it, besides watever i buy wiht that money i just think it was a gift from them…since they paid for it 
But its nice to ge ta gift as a surprise…
hubby sent me a tofah…i had pointed it out beforehand but i didnt think he’d actually get it, and he sent it to me as a surprised…that was so sweet

For me, getting money is boring but getting something specially bought for me is just very touching. Athough, i am quite picky and people often get nightmares picking a gift for me but i let them know its this way or no way :D. LOL!

Hmm when did say i was picky abt the gifts i get?...I value anythin i get as a gift cuz wat matters 2 me is the thought behind it. What i said was that generally i am quite selective about my stuff so ofcourse people who r close 2 me know about that and have 2 make an extra effort in pickin up somethin for me...now that doesnt mean they think i wl reject sumthin they pick n i dun like...it just means they care enuff for me 2 pick somethin which they think i wl like even if they have 2 look around alot for it.

i loveee getting gifts..
but i have hard time telling people wht i want as a gift..my parents and my close family members would always ask me wht i want for my bday and i'll be like 'i dont knoww' and most of the time i really dont even know wht i want.

^ hehehe...cute, that does happen 2 me too. but isnt it so much better than 2 just get the money :D...the whole opening up the gift is so much fun....god how long do i have 2 wait for some gifts again :D hehe.

I wont count money as a gift nor suggest. A gift means conveying your sentiments. Money is ok if the other person you think might be needing, otherwise its better to give some better gesture. Well this is purely how i feel about it, to each his own ofcourse. To me, books are the best gift. More because not only that they can be preserved as compared to flowers and chocolates, (my favs next to books) they also give something to you to learn.

When its people that are close to me and I care about its gifts all the way, I know whatever they give will be from the heart. I don’t care for presents from anyone else
I feel like a sissy getting money from anyone. Though on Eid baaj lot give us eidi but I always feel a little stoopid taking it.
And as adro said people who ask what you would like 
thats a no no. If someone asks me I will do my best to dissuade them from giving me anything. If I want something i’ll go and buy it, if you are giving something give what you want to give AND IT BETTER BE GOOD (kidding) half the fun in a gift is the surprise factor.
