Re: What do you make of this question…
Lajawab:
I once went to a book auction and came upon a book titled “The Way of the Sufi”, the author was a 16th or 17th century saint himself…
In it, he asks a question regarding the spread of Faith and the methodology applied to it…
The question is (Paraphrased by me):
"If a Muslim comes upon a village, where everyone goes around naked and does not allow access to those who are not nude…
In holding the spreading of the Word as foremost, shouldn’t the Sufi shed his clothes and start spreading the word of God leaving his shame aside?"
Now, initially as a one time Sufi myself, I firmly believed that the shedding of the clothes would be necessary…
But after having met my Wahabbi brothers (May Allah bless them), I realized what a bunch of croc this question is…
If such was the reason, why were Hz. LuT :as:'s people destroyed?
Why did Hz. Musa :as: become a wanderer from a prince?
Islam is the only religion that doesn’t follow the maxim of ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do…’…
So, to those following the Sufistic way, beware…It is a grievous innovation and innovation is a grievous sin with grievous punishments…Honest…
Lajawab, don’t you honestly think that scaring kafirs with your very different way of living as the case of this naked ethny is the most efficient way to convert them to Islam? Do you think Islam must be confined to your wahabbi brothers or spread around with love and understanding?
