Hi Ladies!
So I was thinking about my mehndi and how I wanted to see if there was something different we could do for the brides entrance. I won’t be coming in a dholi and I was thinking either of a beaded curtain over my head or even a indian mehndi decorated umbrella..one of my guy cousins would be holding it. What do you guys think?? do you have other idea for a mehndi entrance?

Sana, I like your beads idea in the picture that Sara posted but i think it should be fuller like more strands of beads! Otherwise it seems kinda khali khali (empty)...what do you think?

I agree! Thats why I was confused on what I could do to add to it, I also thought it looked a little empty! Those umbrellas are pretty, they look like the chinese style kinds that wouldnt be very hard to find. It looks like theyre all holding one which doesnt seem like a bad idea either?

I think the umbrella is a great idea..espeically if you find one that co-ordinates with your outfit :) ..also ive seen like a chadar of flowers/beads that can be held over the brides head instead of a normal dupatta

Sana I was saying that you could just add more bead strands (more lariyan <-cant spell that properly but i hope you understand the word) to make it look fuller if you wanted to go that route...

but its already too full.
only that the color of the beads is too light that it doesnt show

Oh! I see what you mean about the color...yea it is too light...i personally think there needs to be more strands....to make the bead dupatta fuller maybe you could trim the outside with strands of flowers? ( see where the guys are holding it you can have a strand of flowers going across it. But, make sure the whole things has a frame so you can put flowers along the sides. I have no idea how it will look but my idea is just in theory..)

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I love your ideas to Sidra to have a frame going around with flowers! but I also love all the umbrellas on that website...oh the delimma!...which way to go! The great things about the umbrellas is you could order enough (since theyre not very expensive) and use it as a party favour for all the un-wed girls or all the girls for that matter! It would be a nice touch!
