I had my 20 week scan last week and Alhumdullilah everything is fine. It was nice to see bubloo bit bigger and yawning..hehe (in actual fact they are taking in liquid)
Anyway, the sonographer asked us if we wanted to find out? We said no and she said to look away as she is checking the bladder. Hmmm…
I told my sis who is studying to become a doctor inshallah and she predicted that it would be a boy otherwise she wouldnt have asked us to look away. I disagree for some reason.
I was speaking to a friend the other day and she said the same thing!
What do you guys think? I know its only speculation and ppl get it wrong but it would be interesting to find out what your opinion!
...i think she asked you to look away because you would see the area where...erm...there is either something there or there is not something there to indicate which gender the baby is.
I'd not speculate either way at this point, and even if you did take a look and saw erm...nothing there, it could still be a boy cause sometimes "it" can be hiding. And sometimes when you do see something there, its actually the umbilical cord.
Anyway, WONderful that the little one is healthy and doing fine! I wish you every happiness!!!
I wouldn't bother speculating if you guys are keeping it a surprise for yourselves. I WANTED to find out, but they were unable to give a clear answer due to the position of the baby. They didn't see anything, so not sure if it's a boy & they just didn't see it due to position or if it's a girl. I have another scan comin gup, but the best thing is that the baby is healthy and so far so good. May God keep it that way, and pray we have safe easy deliveries with healthy babies.
Congratulations to you Sunset_Eyes. If you tell them that you don't want to know they usually ask you to look away because sometimes it becomes quite easy to tell the gender.
So yeah, keep the suspense alive. Enjoy the journey!

I couldn't resist mine.. so I found out if it's a baby boy or a girl.. i needed to know since I'm planning to renovate my place and need to arrange baby's room.. plus buying all the stuff in certain color.. you have to find out, there is no other way
I don't know, I persuaded my husband not to know. I just think of the thrill and anticipation of waiting to meet the lil one combined with not knowing is going to be soo amazing !! Just to hear the doc/nurse say its a boy/girl will be soo exciting !!
yeah i was gonna keep it a surprise, but hubby insisted in finding out so we did. Did not get the clearest answer, but going with it. I am still refusing to do any shopping, at least until im 7-8 months, then i will buy bare essentials i need. :) Best of luck.
