Re: What do you girlz do?
I was joking hun! Women or girl same thing as u said! well I don’t think its got anything to do with common sense here… you see my dad, no matter how old I get he will always see me and think of me as the same little baby I was… and also they are telling me for my own good! Why would they go waste their time and telling me? I don’t mind if they ask me… but I just ummm feel comfortable when they ask me and I have it… you know! So I am just asking for some good excuse so they leave me alone lolz! ![]()
Re: What do you girlz do?
Family members reminding each other to pray is not wrong nor is it a lack of common sense. Infact, it’s quite healthy looking at it from a religious point of view. It is perfectly fine for anyone to remind you to pray–after the reminder, the decision is yours.
As far as this girl’s case, it is not such a big deal. If her bro or dad is reminding her to pray, she can just say: Ok, am about to go pray or Yes, I’ve done so.
Re: What do you girlz do?
Are you encouraging her to lie to her parent???

Re: What do you girlz do?
I just tell him I am not clean. That shuts him up right there. He once complained to my mother that she should teach me not to respond like that when he asks me that question.
When she told me, I told her to tell him, that if he wants to discuss my period with me, my door is always open.
Kabhi nahi did he ever ask if I had read namaz.
Re: What do you girlz do?

Re: What do you girlz do?

Re: What do you girlz do?
sometimes we have to lie to keep others happy ![]()
Re: What do you girlz do?
OK lets back track this and say someone forces you to pray, it wont count. Anyhow, coming back to your topic just tell him you can’t b/c its a girl thing.
Re: What do you girlz do?
Would you be happy about, say, your hubby lying to keep you happy?

Re: What do you girlz do?
me n my dad are very open about this situation...if he asks me i plainly say ' i cannot offer prayers at the moment'....he's cool about it...but when my lil bro asks me i tell him 'no i havnt...i was jus about to'....works all the time...:D
Re: What do you girlz do?
growing up with 3 brothers i had that all the time
just say Im done - and then coz im a bad liar my brother wouldnt believe me.. then just say piss off, i dont wanna pray, you're gng in ur grave and me in mine.. he'd then tell me to piss off :D
Re: What do you girlz do?
First a man should be smart enough not to ask a mature girl silly questions. But if he does he should get a straight answer. My dad has left it to me to decide when and when i don't pray. No questions asked. But he used to make a general remark about the virtue of namaaz, just as a reminder. I have used the term, "Ma ubi nay parsukthi, saaf nay hoon" with my mom and that explains it all. Then she has passed the info onto my dad. Not too embarassing.
Re: What do you girlz do?
wow they have to be pretty stupid to ask u every month..I mean once should be enough!
Re: What do you girlz do?
just the other day, I was over at someone’s house and everyone got up to pray maghrib in Jamaat so I walked outside the room where they were getting ready to pray. Then this annoying auntie Yells Out my name and comes looking for me to tell me to come pray
I was like Lahol walaquwat! what the heck is her problem and she is a dumb woman!! ![]()
Re: What do you girlz do?
this is funny
i think its good that you told him…honestly he should have some sense about it that it’s something that should not be asked to a grown women all the time. Seriously, your MOM should tell ur dad and ur brothers to stop asking you to pray all the time…and she should also clearly tell them the reason why…and how you are not a child any more not need to be forced into this all the time. They are most welcome to only remind u to pray once in a while, but not literally ask 10 times a day. …its nothing embaracing about it if dealth accordingly.
