The old ones that have been worn a lot or atleast ones you’ve been seen in a couple events in.
With non desi old pants and tops I give those to the goodwill or salvation army.

send them to pakistan if you have relatives that will for sure hand it to the poor.
othwerwise find a trusted foundation here that would send it to palestine , syria, africa.
i make sure dupattas are sent as this can be a while dress for a small child.

We send recycled clothes to relatives in Pakistan to distribute, and we recycle them here at the local masjid or charity shops.

My wife turns them to various other items. Sari she turns into shalwar qameez dress, salwar qameez into kurta pajama etc. dupattas into furniture covers , curtains etc.

well, this may seem odd but my mom cuts them (cotton ones) out into square pieces and give it to me so I can use it to clean my car

i usually give most of my clothes to the maids as soon as the fashion changes

Sell the expensive/still fashionable ones, otherwise the rest get given away to local charities or sent to pakistan.

since hubby travels to India and the people LOVE to get Pakistani clothing I usually send the suits there......
and the Indian saris are welcomed just as much by people in Pakistan.

Donate them.
Re-purpose them. I have a small frame made of an old dabka dupatta hanging on my hallway wall.
We've used them as covers for decorative pillows, gao takiyay, mehndi accents, etc.

I send them to Pakistan and my sil givesn them away to the needy on my behalf, I have had people using my old formals for their daughters wedding bari. Makes me happy to know they have been used again by people who really can't afford fancy things.

Same here!!! So not odd, use them for cleaning things too That's the really old cotton ones.
The formal ones I send or take to pakistan and give them to the maids or make sure they get passed onto he needy.
On the past I have also sold some on eBay.
