In 20 minutes I had seen everything that was worth seeing there. Imagine how I spent 5 hours there. ![]()

^ Yeah, Singapore is a freeport. Right?
Anyways catty, Once i had 8 hour stay in dubai. I didnt have a visa and they wouldnt give me one because that would require extra charge. Anyways I still managed to take a temporary letter and go to Firstever Dubai shopping festival with hotel staff.
Considering your situation, i would suggest a good book or two and some extra money to sepdn at the airport.
For few ideas, watch 'The Terminal'
Oh my god now u remembering me about the airport of Kuwait lol.
At 23th January 2004 we goes to Pakistan and we're going with
Kuwait airline's so the plain stops at kuwait bout 6 hours and
we thought the airport of Kuwait will be big and beautyfull not.
It was little and w've t o stay there bout 6 hours and we get quit
bored. I was happy when we went back at home from Pk to Holland
that the stay in Kuwait was 2 hours lolz warna meine pagal hona tha.
Once on way to New York had to stay for 11 hours at Heathrow. I must say I liked Heathrow. Didn't find any place to worship but enjoyed watching planes taking off and landing from the window. Ate at Burger King twice...bean burgers were gooood. ....Felt bored in the end. It was good though...Heathrow is interesting.
i had a 11 hr wait at "changi airport" at singapore a yr ago. i'd dumped my luggage at the cloak room, and roamed around since they had a new rule coz of which i couldnt take the city tour, you might be able to take it.. checked out all the dining places around. they have some fab kanji!
the airport's pretty big, they have a train sorta thing running between the two terminals, loooong flat escalators, tons of shopping.. lots of other passengers too..
i think i even mailed out post cards to some guppies here from the airport. :D

Just what I was gonna mention. :-p
Catty, just pray you can get out and tour the city. You might end up complaining about how short your stay was.
Thanks for the tips guys, really appreciate them :k:
CB, only problem is I arrive at 1 in the morning and my flight is at about 6, so I really doubt any tour busses would be running during that time. Shucks.
And I think I will carry very little hand luggage, some comfy chappals and lots of dollars. ![]()
I remember distinctly that they have a MAC store there ![]()
Every provincial airport in the world has a post office. But when I wanted to send post cards to my friends from JFK airport in New York, I could not find any post office there. I even asked a number of staff members and they all said: No, we don´t have a post office here. ![]()
I had to send them from Milan (Italy) then, where I had a stop-over on my way back to Vienna.
deal :roman:
I was stranded for 9 hours in transit at Riyadh airport (where spending even an hour can be the biggest hurdle of your life), but I found someone really nice to talk to, time ka patah hi nahee challa...
