This is uber generalization of (male) behavior, majority of people in today’s Pakistan have both male and female friends, majority of them are platonic relationships. Thinking that a stranger is hitting on you when he is only conversing, is depiction of your mentality not the strangers.

I usually like to give the benefit of the doubt to people and I’m never the one to say “omg guy is talking to me = hitting on me!” but…unfortunately I’ve experienced that that’s how it is. Again…this is based solely on my own experience.

It really depends on the people you’re around…I have male friends here in US, I’ve talked to a million guys over hte years, nothing romantic or sexual, no one’s going to gossip that i’m a slut bc I talked to a guy…yet in Pakistan the few people I interacted with led to a really horrible experience and even still I didn’t believe that it could be like that, but I had to be sat down and told that alot of ppl have this ghatya mentality so best to avoid.
