your mother 
We call her “ammi”
but my ammi used to call her ammi (my naani) ammi jaan (yes the full word)
The weirdest was on my paternal side, my father, uncles and phuppos called my dadi - “baji” - logic being that she was the eldest of all her siblings and everybody called her BAJI - so this trend carried on to the kids as well 
My kids call their mother “Mamma” - not as in MA MA - but Mumm’Maaa
