hmm…i kinda understand what u’re tryina say… ok so… the more girls like a guy ..the more that guy becomes popular among girls..and girls want him more?..is that what u’re tryina say??.. so the girls who are obsessed by them are probably cuz of their cars…and stuff like that… u know the kind of girls that just want to show off?..
ok so lets change up the question itself a bit…lets take that same question and apply it to u… if you happen to talk to 2/3 guys at same time..but u give more attention to one guy then the other ones…does that mean hes good looking in ur eyes??..

nobody i repeat ...nobody is perfect!.. heckkkkkkk look at hrithik roshan... look at his damn looks...but u know what he thinks...he think he isnt that good looking becuz of his 2 thumbs joined together... there are so many examples u cud find from celebrities that we think are good looking but they're not happy with their appearance... i have a friend of mine..who is very good looking but is shorter than me ( 5'5 or something )...in my eyes and in so many girl's eyes hes good looking but he always says to me that ..i wish i was of ur height... and here i am wishing ...i wish i had ur face... lol.... so ya.... each and everyone is unique and goodlooking...remember ...beauty lies in eyes of the beholder...
ps: ugly people also do get married... and whoever marry them thinks they're the most beautiful person alive on earth ... (excluding force marriages for now)

Jaanleva and Shik. Its not about how I look or how you look… below or above average etc. When you know a person is really ugly like resembling chimps for example. I was wondering what do they think. Just imagine the thing that would come into their mind when they look at their not so pleasing features etc.
Angles,…very well put :k: I had same feelings…its hard. We feel that for few seconds or may be hours or a day. Think about them, they have to live with that…a continous torcher…when they get on subway…totally strangers around them…people look and turn their faces to hid the grim etc…you know what I mean… I think they would think as a knife has torn apart their heart. may be they get used to…and think they are ugly and thats uniqness…which is IN these days.

I always wonder what below average-looking and ugly people think when they look at the mirror. I know the self confidence and inner beauty always overcome one's shortcomings in terms of personal appearance. But my point is focused on liking or disliking at a first glance in the mirror.
The theory behind is that God made everyone, somewhat different to be thankful to him or whatever reason that may be.
If I speak for myself, I am Alhamdollillah better than average looking and feel very confident about my looks. Having said that, but when I don't get minimum or 6 hour sleep and I wake up in the morning with bulging eyes and swelling face, I don't like my face at all.
I saw a really ugly (God forbid me for saying that) looking man, that made me think of the above, what would they be thinking when they look into mirror. It made me feel sad for them.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and real beauty lies within, if ur heart n mind is beautiful i think the outer shell shudnt matter…ofcourse in this day n age and the societies we dwell in shape our mindz in such a way tht we waste alot of time and energy trying to adjust our outer formz, just to look good or be noticied by others. Itz become a norm to try n look better than everybody else, at the end of the day u shud b happy with the way u are and we shudnt stress too much over wat others say or think abt us, coz afterall we had no choice in deciding how we look, so just b grateful for the way u are and try n work on bettering the inner self.
Everyone shud look in the mirror and show gratitude, no matter how they look, and thinking of ppl who are worst off shud make this easier for us! :rotato:

hmmm if i give him more attention mayb yes becos i also think he is better looking, but tbh its more likely that what he is saying is more interesting to me than wht the other guys have to say rather than basing purely on his looks

Seriously, ppl are thinking blah blah.....I simply asked question since I wanted to make an understanding of what their feelings would be, those who are not so blessed with normal looks. Why its difficult to talk about bad looks, you guys are making it more complicated. Its not personal at all. IT IS A QUESTION OF HUMAN FEELINGS AND RELATIONSHIP with other humans in the world.
If you know how a person feels about some shortcomings, it would always help dealing with them. My best friend here is disabled and 12 years older than me. I have spent last 11 years with him, we have been to shopping, fairs, movies, outdoors etc. I always treat him as a normal person, his inablity to walk never has been a problem for us. Same goes with a very close family member's disablity that I dealt for 4 years. I have gone through all this and I know how it feels and that family member would share the sorrows with me.
With this in mind, when I saw that person and it made me feel for him from core of my heart. There this question came into my mind, what they go through is one thing, BUT what kind of feelings they would have about their appearance when they look at mirror. Its difficult, its depressing (as I see feel it), but how they feel I don't know.
Please don't derail this thread any further. My request. Try to understand the point or goto next thread, your time is precious.

a) beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
b) the spirit and the heart matters more, although there are deceivers out there who are full of low self esteem and that is why they attract by gaining sympathy and then prove to be cunning and emotional rapists. be aware of them, if they feel that they are less than perfect. it's funny that they want perfection.
c) body image is becoming a huge problem with people who Do need to be in shape. so they should do all they can, to be in shape Not to please others but to feel good and healthy for themselves and that will in turn boost their self confidence.
d) mirrors who lie are not real mirrors. and dressing up or making up too much, is a self deception.

I don't suppose i've ever seen an ugly person in my life. I might have had issues with their hygiene but never the looks, no matter the colour of skin, shape of eyes or nose. But then your standard of beauty might be different than mine. I guess all of us judge ourselves according to our social combatibility. My friend once wanted to get a nose job done real bad, but not anymore. At that time she probably thought that people might not consider her beautiful cuz of the nose but she's quite popular in her circle of friends now and its because of the way she carrys herself. To answer your question, 'such people' probably think of all the possible modifications which would make them more desirable. This could either be a new haircut, a new beauty product or in extreme cases surgery. Personally, i think its a waste of time and money. If you love yourself for how ever u look, u're perfect. It shows in ur personality.

i hate my nose and my teeth..so everytime i look in the mirror i hate myself...but then when i see kids born with two faces and all that strange things happening nowadays..then i thank Allah alot for what he made me:)
