Larki and HomiD,
But Hadith are so hotly debated, how can we know for sure if he really said that? I think that is why God said the Quran is complete, because he did not want us to fight and debate about the validity of other sources. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not in the Quran, then it is not God's law.
Zara
I agree with Zara on this one. If the Quran is complete, the Hadith can be used as a guideline, not as final word.
All that aside, I sincerely believe that the hadith were meant for the jaahil arabs who actually needed laws governing things like, not to bury a new born girl, or how to deal with dead bodies, where not to touch dead bodies. It almost seems like these arabs back in the day were so close to animals that Allah had to send prophets and laws down about the most basic, human processes and procedures.
I mean, if I see a half nekkid woman walking down the street, I'm not compelled to run up to her and mount her, apparantly that how things were back then with thes arbaas... hence the laws and traditions about covering women up.
Back to the Quran, the Quran says that women should not dress seductively, but modestly, unless alone with their husbands or mehrams, the Quran also says that a woman can be naked in front of a mehram as long as the genitals are covered and there is no risk of the mehram going ape sh*t and trying to jump the lardki.

Could you please give me the section of the Quran where this is said? and would you compare that to what is said in Hadith?
larki pakistanii jee why would you care what other people think haan...? I mean just to give you an example...believe me when i say thisss...in new york city a guy or gal would walk NAked around time square and NO one would stare at them or look at them with as if they were funny...pakistan is a NAMLY muslim...people in pakistan would tell thier sisters and mothers to go out side the house with dubattaa on thire heads...when they go out they put the dubataa in thier neccks how shamefull...and same people who tell thire sisters and mothers to have hijab or dubatta on..they love seeing other women with the dubata aur hijab...thats how most people in pakistan are...hipos!!! Any ways i think muslims should come to thire senses and do what thire religion tells them to do...if we only go to read eid namazz and call our selves muslims...than shame on us.
