i also think its perfectly ok to wait until you're both comfortable with this. he might want it, but you might not- you don't have to do anything you don't want to do in the bedroom department- first night, second night, or ever. it is absolutely within your rights as a woman to say no.
however, if you're in a situation where you've never discussed it, chances are he's probably just as shy about it as you are, so maybe you should start discussing it to avoid any misunderstandings. also practically speaking, you're pretty tired the first night- weddings can be hectic- even waiting until morning can make a world of difference.
