Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running
event.
Ready! * Steady! * Bang !!!
With the sound of Toy pistol, All eight girls started running. Hardly had
they covered ten to fifteen steps,when one of the smaller girls slipped and
fell down,
Due to bruises and pain she started crying. When the other seven girls
heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and
turned back. Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help. One among
them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently And enquired as to how
she was. They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.
Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and
walked together towards the winning post… ..
There was pin drop silence at the spectator’s stand. Officials were
shocked. Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in
appreciation.
Many eyes were filled with tears. And perhaps even God’s!
YES.!! This happened in Hyderabad, INDIA , recently! The sport was
conducted by National Institute of Mental Health. All these special girls
had come to participate in this event. They were spastic children.Yes, they
were Mentally Challenged.
What did they teach the WORLD.?
Teamwork.?
Humanity.?
Equality among all.??
Successful people help others who are slow in learning so that they are not
left far behind.
I got this in a Forward mail long time back...if its true then qudos to them girls! they probably taught the people present there about humanity and that its ok to stop worrying so much about competition and winning all the time.
Yes India has all of a sudden with one stroke of a magic wand turned into such a paradise. Give me a break.
I admire the achievements of India and Indians, but there is a limit to portraying it what it is not.
Not to undermine the gravity of this news. My heart pains for those who got killed in this stampede but I had to put the mirror in front of the person who has a brain full of hot air.

I got this in an email too some time ago. Actually, if you see the website of the National Inst. of Mental Health, they have described no such incident. So I think its a hoax....but having said that, we can always learn some sort of lesson from the story itself. A lot of fables were written with a moral behind them, so take this story in that category. A reminder that we only truly "win" if we have behaved in a humane way. What joy would a victory bring when one of your own is in pain?
