I know and did read the history about zardari and his wife. They are both highly corrupt.
But i was wondering if zardari did something good for Pakistan since he is President. I know that country is going from bad to worst time. But is there anything that zardari doing for Pakistan?
Please don’t comment of how he was b4 he came president, because i did read tons of things about him and his wife.
He have done great service to Pakistani nation, but few are there to acknowledge it;
First of All, he taught every one to not to elect the govt just because some old dead guy was great and how great service he did in his time, he is still trying to teach us that the off-springs of that great old-dead guy can reverse everything, but for some reasons, people are not willing to learn it...
2ndly, he is teaching and training the people of Pakistan the lost virtue of Patience, His govt has taken away, Electricity, Power, Gas, Education but never forget to send the bills for the same non-existing services, just to remind the people that training doesn't come for free...
3rdly, he have managed to bring economy to a collapse, although the economy of Pakistan has strong basis, he is trying to stop the WHEEL, this would make the country living example...
Ok, there is nothing new. I just ask if he did something good.
But if he is so wrong, why nobody comes in action? Why doesn't the goverment fall? Why there is not a military couop again?
Am i Dumb if i am saying that if 1 million of 170 millions people do demonstrate against asif ali zardari once a week. Then the pressure from outside the world will force him to step down and the election will come sooner. Or is this easy to say?
atleast the govt would complete its 5 years ... and credit goes to him ... no matter how he is running the country ... i mean who had imagined ppp will get through all this and complete its tenure?? had it been any other govt do u think it would hav survived this long??
actually despite all his flaws and personal character he did do few good things.
NFC awards, 18th ammendment, gilgit baltistan, staying out of military's business, staying out of freedom of media, extending friendship to china, staying away from jihadis are few to mention.
also most important is he is keeping the power from more dangerous people in waiting.
not that he could have done considerable better things if situation was better. running a party and govt was never easy for him with mqm playing ruthna-manana game, karachi going up in flames, wot, great floods, establishment and america breathing down his neck, ttp, drones , a party falling apart, hostile punjab etc are few of the problems which are in his way.
i am not saying he is a leader but he sure is a survivor.
well since u asked so lets give devil its little due.

i agree he is a survivor!!! ... my dad's friend know him personally ... so I can say one thing clearly he is not as evil as ppl make him out to be!!! ... infact, not many ppl know this but he does alot of charity but he doesnt make a show of it ... so nobody knows abt tht!
n btw Kaka ... i think this is the first time we both agree on something :)
Seriously? Didn’t you hear about the anti-Zardari SMS ban? “Staying out of military business” or should it be said “military kept him far away from military issues”, dude wrote a full article about “Pakistan helped US capture Osama” and then their were denials by other corners. Extending friendship to China? Serious again? It was already there LONG time ago, in one of his trips he is reported to have asked for “whats in it for me” and the Chinese official got up and left the meeting.
