Sorry SD, didn't read everything you posted. But as far as making decision is concerned, I look at all sides of the picture before I make any decicion (small or big). A person should not just make a decision because his/her heart leans towards it. He/she should first look @ all factors and sides and then make a decision.

Well, in a perfect world, it should be a combination of both mind & heart. (more percentage should be given to facts) but in real world, it all depends on the situation. Most of the time, people follow their emotions and yes, this is where the problems arise.... and they keep doing that. so emotions are usually the winner over actual facts.

Emotions should play a part but decisions must not be based solely on them.

The decision making process is very complicated as it is a step by step process which sometimes just goes in a circle. It uses no formula -- no pills.
