What culture / country ..

Re: What culture / country ..

TLk explained it very nicely and just to add .. some of the spices and cooking oil add to the difference between the dishes ... the food combinations are different in both cultures ... for example going to an indian restaurant they offer poori's with certain food .. while for pakistani cuisine we only like poori's in halwa poori !

Re: What culture / country ..

Pakistani, Middle eastern, Mediterranean, Persian, Yemeni, Thai, Italian, American, Chinese, Mexican... and the list goes on

Re: What culture / country ..

I think Karahii , Balti and Sajji - These are typical Pakistani dishes , they got no trace back to India or Indian cuisine , as we know of ..

Italian and Persian any day ! Pakistani comes next !

Re: What culture / country ..

Mexican

Re: What culture / country ..

i don't like classic italian food either - too fatty/doughy/cheesy for my taste.

i love coastal cuisine <3

Re: What culture / country ..

For me it has to be the Central Asian Turkic, meat dishes… simple and effective, oh and the taste is divine. :yummy:

Re: What culture / country ..

Most of meat dishes in India and Pakistan are the result of Indianization of Turkish, Persian and Central Asian dishes like Pulao, Kebabs, Haleem and Koftas!

As Baber wrote in his book that people of India were strange that they eat grains with grains - daal with roti!
