sorry for being so cruel but these are my thoughts
if someone does something this serious, i would make sure even his/her kids would remember for the rest of this lives
The post, IMO, lost all credibility by bringing kids into the picture - and also the "remembered for generations" thing.

Yes it does. You know who you can count on when the **** hits the fan and people stay around to get you out. I have had my baptism by fire.

No doubt most people will not be able to respond in such scenarios, let alone respond with a combination of force and apathy only present in sociopaths. You must be acquainted with Marshall's work after the Great War? He listed an action rate (Firing at an exposed enemy) of roughly 15-20% which has been verified numerous times taking into account past and future conflicts (At Marshall's time). So humans by nature are not capable of such actions. With time however, its become easier to take someone out from distance. Humans at a distance are mere targets whereas close up they are real humans.
And no doubt most people here would be the same, unable to react in a situation where a life must be taken. Just how it is; Talk is cheap. Anyway, I digress but dude, that must suck 'eh? I remember reading the Gurkha story, bugger!
Oh I wish I was in a Clancy or Le Carre novel! That would be pretty awesome.

Yes and me voicing my opinion is also part of the discussion. Just because it doesn’t agree with what you feel is appropriate doesn’t mean I am telling you to shut up. By no means. Please continue on discussing how killing another human being for some random reason is a great subject for discussion on a PG forum

if someone killed someone’s son, imo he should kill the person who killed his son. no random reasons. forget about the law. law is a worldly issue.
