I don’t think they want a status quo with Pakistan. You said they would like to escalate situation through air strikes/ground operations. My question is why they would want that. What is the reason behind all these initiatives. Ok as you say they wanted to test the waters.. they have tested the water.. now what?
They are not doing anything to neutralize the situation.. in fact they are trying to escalate it further..
