Wouldnt be surprising if it was the act of a rogue pilot who intentionally fired on the post without authorization, knowing full well it belonged to the Pak army, or perhaps he intentionally relayed it back as a ‘terrorist camp’, while he knew it was a Pak army post. There are lots of cowboys in the US and Nato forces. The NATO and US would of course never disclose this, if this was indeed the case. The so called inquiry will be a sham, meant to find a way to put the whole thing under wraps, not find the true cause.

It cannot be the actions of a rogue pilot. According to information available, the higher ups were informed and the firing continued unabated. I think there is definitely more to this than that meets the eye.

I think it could have been because there would have been suspicious activity around the camp. For years India has been saying that Pakistan provides artillery support when they infiltrate people to Kashmir. Americans might have thought that this would have been the case. Whatever it was, it was a stupid and criminal to do this.

Ordinary Pakistanis would feel repulsive when they think of US as an ally. I agree the inquiry would be a sham, but would really hope that the truth eventually comes out through wikileaks.
