Do you think that a couple can lead a successful life if they just start thinking over the mutual “Give & Take” over the years ? Ofcourse no?!? Neither does the concept of ‘obeying’ works effectively in a relationship ? One driving force that I saw was in case of this 40 year old man I saw a year ago in a masjid in Gujranwala, siting in one corner. Peaceful & calm with eyes closed. When he didn’t reply my question, his child told me that he was a businessman uptill 2001, but one day when he was returning from Afghanistan, on his way became a victim of a bomb blast. Since then, for the last 9 years he is living with no eye sight, no hearing capability, one hand & one foot. The people of the village confirmed this fact about him. The point is: His wife had carried his and his children’s burdon (by the grace of Allah (SWT)) over the last one decade. It is almost impossible to imagine how she went through all this and still is going through it. She works for earning and also take care of all the indoor and outdoor necessities, by the mercy of Allah (Swt). The question is:
What could be the possible motivation factor behind her efforts ? Could it be purely the reward of hereafter, or her passion and love for her husband, or anything else ?!?
I have no way to ask her this question, so I want to know all possible answers to this question

She doesn't realize she has a choice.
She has always been a secret dominatrix.

She loves him.
She thinks it's her duty.
She made a commitment and so she is keeping it.
She believes it is her responsibility, so she is seeing it through.

the thing is that you cannot know someone's dil ka haal unless they tell you about it. in this man's situation there could be several possibilities...
she loves her hubby and the kids.
she cant leave him since leaving means she will have no where to go.
she feels its her duty to help the man in this difficult situation and that personally she is very satisfied since she knows that allah will reward her.
