What constitues a ban

Hi everyone. Philosophy here.

So, i have been banned. he he. who woulda thought?

Just a couple of questions, open to all the members!

-If there is no proof of misbehavior in chat, can a CM ban me, when all the opinions suggest that I was harassed?

-Also, say I have perhaps done something objectionable…like “offensive language” (which did not happen) do I deserve a Ban from all of GS or just a chat ban or perhaps SOME points? Or perhaps a verbal warning?

-What are bans reserved for again? : )

-Or, do you guys think this is all based on personal grudges?

-Also, for the people who were in chat that night when I reacted to ChunkyMonkey being obscene with me, please do state how I reacted? Did I use profanity?

-The issue is not with the ban, the issue is how a CM is using their privileges to attack someone due to their personal grudges. The privelages a CM/Mod is given are not to be misused and interpreted based their own personal preferences.

-Now I have personally seen worse in chat, but it’s acceptable because it suits the tastes of the Cm

-Say that CM is in the wrong and banned me for no reason, how should they be dealt with?

Re: What constitues a ban

really, if you’ve not been warned or a complaint has been made about you prior to this event, then you should really just be struck off with a warning.

also, wasn’t this the same CM who accepted Chat and forums as a separate entity?

oh how times change, and the attitudes according to who is being dealt with…

Re: What constitues a ban

Please discuss this matter in PM’s…its against forum policy to open such a thread :chai:

Re: What constitues a ban

Re: What constitues a ban

^ i was just offering the interpretation of forum rules as per knowledge.......as per TLK's guidelines...... you shouldn't attack other members....especially in Support forum......

Re: What constitues a ban

you're a member?

funny, i thought you were a nobody.

Re: What constitues a ban

i am out…this stuff sounds serious :bummer:

Re: What constitues a ban

This is pretty fish 'eh

Someone needs to sort this mess out. I don't think you should be banned straight up. I was banned from the Lifestyle channel and even though I don't agree that I was doing much worse than some others on that Channel, there was evidence compiled and presented to the 'Higher Ups' before action was taken. So I reckon you were unfairly banned. Doesn't sound right.

Directors? CMs? Mods? Anyone?

Re: What constitues a ban

i just hope that clarification is done in the open.....instead of brushing all the matters under the carpet..just saying....

Re: What constitues a ban

Salam everyone, Chunky here. won’t say much, as I choose to let the screens do the talking. Actions speak louder than words, atleast In my neck of the woods. Peace.

Re: What constitues a ban

Ok enough of this- sheyn or TLK will reopen and reply here later.

Re: What constitues a ban

Molly I received your PM already. I think PM was enough and no need for this thread. Asking the same question again and again is not going to make the process faster. I will get back with you and chunky through PMs
