Re: what can i do to occupy me?
I would take Fusha Arabic, Islamic studies, sociology, anthropology, spanish, urdu, literature, gardening and horticulture, perhaps lanscape design, some crafting classes, cooking, baking. So many things to do! But we’re not here to talk about what I would take! What do you like to do? What interests you? Are you thinking career oriented classes or general interests? And I’ll be happy to make some suggestions. 
You can spend a life-time on arabic and Islamic studies alone.
