Pakistan needs dedicated and professional teachers, particulalry in the rural areas... People should try teaching in existing govt schools.

There should be some sort of adopt a family type of program in Pakistan. An organized system in which a Pakistani living abroad can help by sending a few dollars every month to support a poor family. It wouldnt take very much, consdering the exchange rate and all.

education school cannot be a subsitute of the professionals..who run from pakistan..and busy licking Master's feet for pounds and dollars....

come and serve your country....instead of lip service..and other diz dam dhakoslai......

Nice thread Dushwari Ji....Yes Education at all levels.....but more Important..........bring Math, Science and Civics as Mandatory Subjects to all Institutions......including Madrassa's of Pakistan.....:)

I know easier said than done.......but we are simply making positive suggestions keeping with the intent of this thread.

No matter how hard you try Dushwari Ji....you ain't gonna keep the NABOBs of Negativity off this or any thread in GS....:(

plus i wont just concentrate on study and studying science subjects
i would have regular extra curricullar activities
i would introduce arts, sociology etc
i would try to make a system where ppl dont just get crazy abt science, accounts and engineering subjects

DL we've heard from you so often about how you love your country, how you hate those who left, and most especially - how those who left are "3rd class citizens" who "lick the feet" of their masters....

While your love of country and your passion to defend it are admirable, your blindness hampers you and you dont see it or even care to consider it.

There are many, many desis who are highly respected members of their communities and their professions here in the west. And whatever their reasons for living in the west as opposed to living in Pak (even though its not OUR business), you need to consider that perhaps they can do more for their country where they are than they would if they moved back. They earn more here and are therefore able to send more back home. While I personally would love the life over there, it just isnt a possibility for us to live there yet we support and love the country - financially, emotionally etc. AND we as a family do not live as the dreaded 3rd class citizen you're so fond of metioning. Most of the desis I know over here are much the same, feel the same way. So dont you ever wonder about that? That maybe theres something to it? That MAYBE its possible to live in the west as an accepted and respected member of the community?

If you cannot even consider this then you are blinding yourself to reality and will limit yourself in how seriously others take your opinion because you are so very closed-minded...

I'd like to ask if you dont mind - have you ever been here to the US? Or anywhere else in the west? No prob if you dont want to answer, I'm just curious.

ps, although it seems this is an "off-topic" reply, MY "thing" to help Pakistan is to come to better understanding with those who hate us "westerners" so much...and then to try to spread the understanding between the two. Just because we're different doesnt mean we cant get along.

Easier said then done... I think many would come, but the atmosphere simply isnt conducive to such a return. Corruption, kick backs, and all the issues that always creep up make it difficult.

inshallah within the next 5 years ill move there. then contribute to the economy and maybe start a project with oversea pakistanis to help the rural population with health education..etc and yes pray
