What brand of Kohl/Kajal/Eyeliner do you use?

I’ve been using Christian Dior and Prescriptives because the one I bought from Pakistan was horrible to try and wash off. However both those brands sometimes irritate my eyes. Anyone know a good brand to use? Of the real stuff?

It’s supposed to be good for the eyes.

I read that some of the sahaba used to use it as well.

Thanks. smile

Lancome :flower2:

Me ne to apna black surma pakistan me ek admi se kharida tha jo sarak parr beth karr bech raha tha...its really good surma infact!

Lancome's eye liner is best !!

i find collerium (surma) to be the best, it does the job and wearing it in the eyes is the practice of the prophet mohammed (pbuh)

hasmi kajal

and some brandless surma from a desi sheeshi.

pencils tend to leek out of my eyes, so I use surma and kajal.

I use L'Oreal liquid black eyeliner. It's really good. L'Oreal and Lancome are owned by the same company so both brand names are very good! :)

hanie:

Kajal pehl nehi jata? if u wash ur face, to face bohat kala hojata he?!

Lancome has that spongy thin tip liquid eyeliner that makes applying a lot easier. Hashmi surma is pretty good, and so is your plain old surma, as hanie said.

Kohl/Kajal/Eyeliner ... are all three of them for your eyes? Or is it different name for the same thing?

Kohl and Kajal all mean Eyeliner

I know Kohl is the arabic word for eyeliner

I never wear black eyeliner

and Hanie you like the Hasmi eyeliner huh? maybe b/c it has the same icon as you :D

larki pakistaani, no it does not spread.
only if I get paseena around my eyes, then yeah. but If I have made a smal line, then it doesnt.
I know some people who cant have kajal in their eyes. couse whatever they do, it spreads all the way.

majestic, when I apply hashmi kajal in my eyes, they look the same as in my icon.

I love my Revlon Colorstay :hula:

Can someone provide tips on how to apply eyeliner / eyepencil on the upper eyelid?

I bought this brown eyepencil which is soft and smudgy when dry and pointy and sleek when wet....but it's been layin around since a year now...dunno how to put it on nicely..

i think the one that the sahabas used to use was the actual genuine kohl made from some plant or something, i dont know the name but its really expensive i think u can get it from islamic book shops.

i use Loreal. :) its easier to use.

No one uses Max Factor? Hmmm.... must report back that there is a lack of market penetration into the Pakistani community.....

I seriously need to know where to buy some of the ones you all mentioned. If you can tell me, would be great, thanks

I think I am spending too much on this stuff, but then I once bought one for $4 and it was horrific. Took forever to come off and left streaks. grin

ahh never exceed 12 bucks for an eyeliner...don't think its worth it.
Though i have been totally obsessed with wet eye shadows lately. Has anyone tried Revelon's illuminance creme shadow...it comes in 4 shades in one box. Its nice to use them instead of eyeliners once in a while.
