I think the title says it all really. I’ve noticed a great love of western labels, however I still love the following three items I grew up with:
Tibet snow cream
Hashmi surma
Hashmi kajol.
I think all of the above are hidden gems, worth praising. Jasmine hair oil (sorry cannot remember the company that bottled it/produced it) reminds me of my khalas. Such a lovely smell. I’m sure however that you can get oils produced in other countries too but I love the Pakistani stuff.
So what are your items?
I’m thinking I might have to go cosmetic/beauty product shopping whilst I’m in Karachi next month InshAllah.
Re: What are your must have beauty products that are made in Pakistan?
Unfortunately I have none :( I'm sure there must be great products out there but I haven't come across. Also to be honest I don't usually have too much time whenever I visit Pak to browse around for beauty products. I spend way too much time on clothes :p
Re: What are your must have beauty products that are made in Pakistan?
Please check the hashmi kajol - i used to love it but it got banned in London due to some traces of something found - sorry i cant remember exactly but it was traces of something which causes cancer - it was couple of years ago and i read it in one of the local council magazines in east london that they raided the shops down green street and took them all/or made the shopkeepers remove all? - since then i havent bought it!
Re: What are your must have beauty products that are made in Pakistan?
Well..you could go to saeed ghani outlets…nice herbal stuff/alcohol-free perfumes.
Hmmm this company…Luscious cosmetics…great new brand from here, you can try their stuff. Cosmetics, Skincare, Makeup Products - Luscious Cosmetics
Also, many lightening creams (such as Stillman’s Bleaching cream) contain mercury. That’s why its VERY important to check ingredients and find out what in the cream is actually supposed to do the lightening.
Re: What are your must have beauty products that are made in Pakistan?
I've never used any . Don't know if I can trust the stuff ... Once I saw a documentary on Express how lots of make-up in Pakistan contains harmful substances / things that are banned in Uk and other places.
