Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
I have 4 ideal combinations of toppings:
Mushrooms, aubergine, and sun-dried tomatoes.
Thinly sliced courgette, pesto and mint leaves.
Caramelised pears with blush cheese and arugula.
Sun-dried cherries with a bit of balsamic vinegar (this one sounds a bit odd but is quite good)

You’re welcome

^Yes, all credit must go to khatti for that one!
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Living in New York has me so spoiled about Pizza. Even most of the walk in generic store slices will be better than anything else most people ever get to try
But here are a few of my favorite ones:
The Pizza* topped with pesto, goat cheese, mozzarella, pinoli nuts, and extra virgin olive oil *found at LA Lanterna Cafe on Mcdougal Street. Who knew chilghoza and pesto sauce would make for an amazing combo.
The famous John’s Pizzeria on Bleeker Street. Known for their brick coal oven pizzas made from fresh mozzarella. Bonus, they are steps away from the original Magnolias in the West Village.
Sal & Carmine’s Pizza near Columbia on the Upper Upper west Side. Known to have the best slice in the city by some. I’ve tried it a few times when I had a friend going to Columbia and we’d get together.
Grimaldi’s at Dumbo in Brooklyn. I’ve had it a couple of times while visiting some relatives who lived in Brooklyn. Coal brick oven style and quite yummy.
Line to get in:
The Pizza:
These are just a few. There are so many more all over the city that get written up and make top pizza lists lol It’s a bit of an obsession for foodies in nyc.

Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
^I had two different pizzas in New York and they both sucked.
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Yeah, there are those too. You gotta know where to go and what to avoid. Also it depends on your taste.

Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Here in Seattle, CanAm Pizza serves butter paneer pizza and tandoori chicken pizza
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
black olives and chicken
The main thing I need on my pizza is bbq and chilli sauce base OR nap sauce. Plain tomato paste pizzas arent the best.
With that, the pizza becomes an omnomnomagon.
Once the pizza is out or reaches home, need swirls of tzatziki on that.
Condiments can make or break.
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Artichokes,mushrooms, and tomatoes…
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Pineapple and chicken in pizza is a punishable offense in some States and in the country of Texas.
Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
olives are must for me

Re: What are your ideal/optimum pizza toppings?
Best pizza I ever had: NYC - near Korea town, old pizza place (now under new ownership and they don’t do this now) -
GYRO PIZZA
Pizza but with slabs of real think gyro meat.
Now I think the place is owned by an Arab or Persian who puts crumbs of meat on the pizza and dares call it gyro pizza.
