Favourite stories .... all J.K. Rowling books and Roald Dahl books .... all the stories written by Dahl are simply amazing ... what a riveting imagination that guy had. Same for J.K. Rowling. Cannot wait for book 5 ... out this month I believe! Woooo hoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

And anything and everything by Wodehouse+Dickens. They are the best undoubtedly.Right now I cannot remember some of them...but there are lots of stories I love. and in short storie writers I like Maugham.
i used to read alot of urdu litrature, fictions, travelages, biographies, novels. i started reading likes of Ibn-E-safi and Mazhar kaleem from 2nd grade and Mustanser Husssain Tarrer, tariq Ismail Sagaar, Colonal Ishfaq from 4th grade. since last few years i have feeling that MHT and TIS are kindaa type writers, but i still enjoy them. in urdu novels and fiction among few others Qamar Ajnalwi is absoulte brillient. i was going to bring some of these books but my cricket videos were making my laguage too heavy.
so far i have not tried anything in english ltrature except a couple of fiction novels. may be u guys could recommend something.

I am unfamiliar with Roald Dahl. What story would you reccomend?
another Plum fan :k: i luvvv Jeeves & Wooster, and Psmith… in fact i recently bought the entire series on DVD from PBS other favourites are Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice. Also, The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffrey Archer. Scarlet Pimpernel and A Tale of Two Cities. Also, Floreana, the autobiography of a couple who moved to the remote and uninhabited Galapagos Islands and made it their home, all for the sake of adventure :k: when i was younger i was a huge Enid Blyton fan, i still enjoy Malory Towers and the Famous Five when i read them to the kids i tutor.

I forgot about Lucy Maud Montgomery. I love all the Ann books.
Also
Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott.
I don't think I ever read The Shell Seekers, but I did read Coming Home...by I think the same author.
Coming Home was interesting..but IMOH not really an enjoyable keep you glued to the book type of story.
