Just finished “khaak ho jain gy tum ko khabar hony tak” by Bia Ali
i have read too many novels in last few days… more than 35 novels in a week… and i loved all of them… but this novel really confused me..

no kinziee… main last ek week sy parh rahi hoon and i read more than 35 novels… kabhi nahi hui headache.. i feel peace.. but this novel cracked me up.. i wasted my 3 hours and now having headache:(

No. It’s a book about that discusses different elements of the beautiful game and how they represent aspects of globalization (like the fact you can see european teams all over the world now, whereas it wasn’t that easy 10-15 years ago). Even more broadly though, it’s about how aspects of football represent the best and worst of us – hooligans/street fans, importing/exporting players, and even tribalism to an extent. I’ve only read about 1/3 of it so far. It’s talked about how fans formed these gangs or brigades that actually rose to great political/“militarily” prominence in old Yugoslavia/present serbia (Red Star Belgrade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). I’ve also read the chapter about the Old Firm, Celtic vs Rangers. The roots of it (religious) and the fan culture.
It’s very interesting book and the author definitely had a passion for the topic.
