I love Zaavia. It's one of my favourite books. Some books change the way you look at world...this book has changed me!

I've been reading en e-book by Woolf called the 'The Waves' and have Sue Townsend and Kafka library books waiting to be read by me. Also finishing collected stories from Dorothy Parker.

Bahishti zevar was written by a misogynist. I mean everything the husband does is an 'ehsaan' and everything the woman does is her 'farz'. Yeah right. And I absolutely hate that story he narrated of a woman whose husband used to visit whores and used to bring them to his own home too. And his naik parvee biwi used to make zarda pulaao for them. He was full of praises for that lady. So disgusting.

Who was the writer of Behashti Zevar? I think it was Maulana Ashraf Thanvi..

Interesting.. I should re read that Qissa of that Darvesh Aurat. BTW, I would suggest that woman to add some 'jamal ghota' in zarda pulao to make it more tasty.

I'm currently reading "The Bell Jar" By Sylvia Plath, really enjoying it, but having only read "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" a year ago, everytime "shock treatments" are mentioned now, I just think of that book, like even when I watched Shutter Island. Anyway, anyone else read this? Any good book recommendations, I'm almost finished!

I just read the lincoln lawyer..it was AMAZING..not my usual genre at all!
