"The kite Runner" written by Khaled Hosseini..(World-Bestseller)..there is also a movie..but the buk is much better than the movie ;)

'I killed Scheherazade: confessions of an angry Arab woman' by Joumana Haddad. Some of the misconceptions of westerners she mentions are similar to misconceptions people have about Pakistani females. Interesting read.

recently finished reading The Odyssey by Homer and today started reading "A Game of Thrones" from A Song of Ice and Fire series, I love love love it. It has 800 pages but I've already read 50 pages today and I think I'll be able to finish it all within a month, the story is very flowing and I can't wait to read the rest of the books inshallah.

recently finished reading The Odyssey by Homer and today started reading "A Game of Thrones" from A Song of Ice and Fire series, I love love love it. It has 800 pages but I've already read 50 pages today and I think I'll be able to finish it all within a month, the story is very flowing and I can't wait to read the rest of the books inshallah.
I'm on Book IV of GoT, but haven't read it in a couple days. Time to restart! (I've heard book 4 is the worst, but 5 is great, so looking forward to it!)

^He's only written 5, but I think there are more coming, because the 5th book doesn't have resolution.
I like Jon Snow too. I like Dany a lot actually.

I recently read this book: Secret Daughter
It was alright. I read the book in one day so I was captured by it. . But, some things that the characters did were really fustrating, and the ending was just okay. A little bit predictable and sort of unreal.

a series ! i am intrigued... but its a fantasy ?
how much do u like it ? is it like LORD of the rings..i cannot wrap my mind around that book even though tried many times my daughter loves it ..

It IS like LOTR in that it's got very involved histories and interrelationships. But I find it easier to read. It's worth a try!

God of small things by Arundhati Roy*. She got the Booker Prize for it in 1998, i think. Its based in India. I had higher hopes from it.

Men are from Mars & Women are from Venus** - Interesting read specially for couples; its a must read.
