^I’m almost done with this book…and I kind of have my doubts about whether the abuse actually took place. I can’t explain it…there’s just something about the language (maybe it’s over-the-top…or flowery, for lack of a better word)…that makes me question it. Not done with it yet…but I went on the Internet and found that I’m not the only one who has such doubts.
Out of the two autobiographies I’ve recently read (this one and Angela’s Ashes), I like Angela’s Ashes better…Frank McCourt has a way with words. I’m looking forward to reading Tis…and hope the sequel is as good as the first book.
