I know grip, its silk type and used mostly for matching on georgette fabrics.

Is it slippery synthetic unbreathable type? It was usually for the shalwar of georgette kameez.

^i was going to write that it seems to be usually used for shalwars. it's like a silky georgette. i don't know whether it's synthetic or not, it's most probably a mix. i guess it's ok for shalwars - i have one grip shalwar, i'd never make a kameez from it though.
viscose.. i don't know what exactly this this is described by as the name proper. i do know there are many different kinds - cotton viscose, linen visose etc. when we buy 'viscose', which we do a lot (all our kameez's to wear around the house are viscose) it's usually a very soft, flowy fabric, with a nice fall and the slightest of stretch to it, it's breathable and extremely comfortable to wear.
oh.. and we usually buy it from english fabric shops. the 'viscose' we seen in pakistan is poor quality and becomes all limp in the wash.

Yes, its used for matching shalwars. Its kind of "in" these days.

Marina is tht thick stuff used in winters and after many uses it gets those little balls on it its kind of soft but warm material

Marina is not a chubnay wala fabric…
its soft and warm…cotton-y…not cotton but i mean doesnt give that silky look or feel…i dont know how to explain…
In Pakistan i remember they used to have different qualities of marina…thick and thin,prints and solids…i used to love it for winters…
Grip is sth mostly used for matchings…u can get it plain and get it dyed in whatever color is needed…so far i think its the easiest solution to matching shalwars with qameez…
I have a few shalwars matched with shirts in grip…and its not that bad…kinda like a thick silky georgette thing…
Gosh i just can’t describe fabrics…
