A friend of mine is uncertain of what career choice to make. She wants something that will pay fairly well and that wont require a lot of years of training/education.
She has a double-major BA degree in Social Science and a Masters in field that she doesnt really wish to pursue.
She has asked me for suggestions and I am tooooo busy with exams to do some research for her right now. I will do it later insha’Allah, but if anyone can give suggestions please do, especially if they are links to top ten lists.
Nursing is something she has thought of, but would like other suggestions.
She mentioned to me that she wouldnt mind doing a Masters in Psychology but I told her the advice that my accountant friend once told me. For the hard work they do, they dont get that much in pay, and he was talking about his PhD clients. So I told her this too and so she wants other possible options.
She is a single mother so she needs something that makes a decent amount of money.
Teaching, offcourse, a good thing to reach a determined career, meantime
no one can give an expert opinion without knowing the candidate's complete curriculum, aptitude, skill test, and the description & specification of the market ... however, if you still need some judgemental opinion, fwd. a CV copy.
If not available, just make decision after gathering one's skill test and the aptitude, but keep in mind, the decision will depend upon the person's intention on whether he/she is pursuing for a career job or some time passing with earning.
What about Marketting/ Management and Human Resourses.I have seen that Human resources make good money .Check various salaries with the job title at salary.com,
Also I read that the career in accounting, later moving to become a controller is a good one which pays big bucks.
