I'm an ex-MMA athlete. I still got some battle-marks, a broken nose, bruised ribs and all will leave memories :) I would love to see some Pakistanis involved in the MMA scene.
That's interesting. How many years did you partake of cage fighting in the UK?
I'm an ex martial arts athlete myself. Well, not precisely, since I only switched forms.
Would you be interested in pursuing the sport at a South Asian level? Or encouraging it?

Bruh, I trained/practiced just under three years. Oh sweet, what have you trained in?
I'm afraid it was just a passion on a hobby level, I'm not really looking to get professional. I've got a couple of degrees (Engineering/Management) that I'm focused on along with freelance photography. But I would love to help in promoting the sport. I'm based in Dubai. Why don't you drop me a PM mate?

Excellent, goddamn…
I did a spot of boxing- for about 3 years and now am in the process of pursuing Tae kwon do.
My goal was always to start a facility in India- where athletes from all over the country could come and train in one of several offered martial arts discipline. Now, though, I find tremendous potential all across south Asia- particularly in ground/grappling sports, owing to the kushti tradition.
The problem for me tho has always been capital. I have the idea, the entrepreneurship and the skills/willingness to make it happen. My focus has always been on one sport in particular- Penchang Silat, an Indonesian/Malay Archipelago art form, that is very difficult to teach and even rarer to come across:

But I’m still young, in University and have my whole career ahead of me. The idea was to return to India, (I’m currently in N America), network with people with the interest/will to promote martial art in South Asia and eventually start a fraternity that will transcend borders and work for the greater good of the art form and of the athlete.
