That is according to only Pakistan’s law, it’s not part of Islam and other Islamic countries’s laws.

In order for a man to marry a 2nd wife he needs permission from his first wife, if permission isn’t present the relations of the man and 2nd wife is seen as cheating. So i don’t think its all that bad personally, because if you don’t agree with it then it can’t happen, The main reason is because in the past some women couldn’t bear children so this was a way to get around this issue.
