now that they are on form lately i still think that they do a blunder this time just like they did in the world cup.
since that match in the final i have lost some fath in that the team but hope thy do well so we can shut the british mouths.

Cricket is a stupid game.The outcome of any match depends on hundred different things - weather,pitch,toss,umpiring mistakes,player injuries,opening stands,dropped chances etc. etc..especially true for one-days. Any team at the international level can win on a given day irrespective of the opponent.(e.g. Bangladesh defeated Pak in the last world Cup but Pak reached the Final).Pakistan won all the league matches in the recently concluded Sharjah Tournament but lost in the Final when it mattered most.
Nobody can forecast anything, those who attempt to do so are being plain stupid.

Lately, Pakistan team has become a big ‘choker’ … remember the World Cup final and the final in Sharjah (recently)? Thats ‘choking’. Crumble in the crunch game.
I think the aussies must be favourite, despite our victory last night. Chilli i think you have gone bit overboard in your comments. What you have said is true for any sport. Take tennis for example, many times you hear that the top seeds get knocked out in the first few rounds. It doesnt happen that often in cricket but every now and then it does happen, like Bangladesh beating Pakistan, like Kenya beating the Windies, like India beating the Windies to take the world cup. It is this unpredictability which makes the game so exciting.

A friend of mine said to me before going to Pakistan that Pakistan won’t win and I said they will and he said how do you know. I said I don’t know about the pre final match but I am sure that they will win in the final.
Now, they have won the pre final match and I am worried.

Cricket is no different from any other sports… that’s a weird logic that it’s a game of chance or that there are so many things that can be involved in its out come .. I play and follow lot of sports and I don’t find it any different .. in terms of pulling a result .. if you are well prepared, done your home-works and plan accordingly you can produce the required results ,, Australia, SA, and SL are prime examples of that … on professional level it’s a matter of niche advantage ..
Final .. I think 60/40 chance in favor of Australia .. Pak needs a solid performance from its bowlers .. Wasem is due for a big one, Azhar needs more control .. and Waqar keep doing what u did in the last two! Batting .. I think it will be a tough game. Pakistan and australia will give each other a hard time.
Also I think overall it will be a bowlers’ game.
Then again we might see something like the world cup final, perhaps Pakistan will humble australia this time?
Pakistan has had its share of good performances and good fortune in this tournament already. They cant do any better and not to mention they cant face McGrath.
So of course, Australia is the favorite, and can certainly give Pakistan a big thrashing.
