Well, I grew up in Pakistan, I came to U.S when i was 10 so all my friends are there, I wasn’t able to make any friends here. : ( Also, I don’t really enjoy doing anything here, back home I had all my friends, we would go out and one of my favorite activities was kite flying and playing cricket in the street, you simply can’t do these here unfortunately.

aww whilst i’m all about spending time by yourself, you should really try to make some friends. there’s so many pakistanis in NY, try to join some clubs.. do you study? have you met any people to hang out with at school/college? what about work? you can make friends through work too. even just people to play cricket with or something. enjoy this time

See if there are any local cricket clubs in your area. I’m not sure exactly which part of USA you are from but I used to know someone from Chicago and all her brothers and cousins used to play regular weekend cricket matches at their local cricket club.

Why don’t you go to bars and night clubs?

If you’ve got good looks you might be able to pick up women every now and then.

If you don’t you can justify not going there, like the rest of Pakistani guys living abroad, on grounds of incompatibility of values and culture.
