Err not really.. that word isn't so commonly used.. normally it's 'abla' for older sis which Mademoiselle already pointed out..
They do use 'baba' for dad tho (not exactly uncommon for Muslims).. There are quite a few words that are the same.. 'mirror', 'soap' etc but then others that are nowhere near.. I speak Bengali as well as basic Turkish (enough to get by) and those same words are used in that language too.. Urdu really isn't as close to Turkish in terms of vocab as some ppl like to make out, certainly not any more than other local/nearby languages..
