Re: What are some of the easiest languages to learn for those who know Urdu?
no, it’s NOT AsGhar GonDvii’s she’r…it’s actually Hafiz Shirazi’s she’r…the matl’a of his Ghazal. i’m including the matl’a, the maqt’a and one she’r of this Ghazal:
**
hazaar jaama_darii, sad_hazaar baKhiya_garii
tamaam shorish o tamkiiN nisaar-e-be-Khabarii
ba_gosh-e-hosh shinao pind-e-Haafiz-e-Shiraaz
cheh nukta iist ba_tarz-e-tarannum-e-shukarii
chuuN har Khabar k shuneedam reh-e-ba_Hairat-e-daasht
aziiN sipash man o saaqii wa waz’a be_Khabarii**
AsGhar GonDvii did ‘tazmeen’ of this musalsal Ghazal and here is the matl’a of that Ghazal…it’s one of my all-time favourite:
**
sukoon-e-shorish-e-pinhaaN hai shoGhl-e-jaama_darii
qaraar-e-seena-e-sozaaN hai naala-e-saHarii**
he is one of my most favourite sho’araa…great poet indeed!
